Babies through Pre-K

The Library offers many different programs, activities, and resources for young children and their families. See below for information on storytimes, 50 Books Before Kindergarten, and to watch some of our storytime snippets!

Storytimes - There are no storytimes in August. They will resume in September. Thank you!

All library branches offer weekly storytime programs that aim to create interactive, family experiences that help build early literacy skills, fine motor skills, and foster a love of reading.

Tot Time: Designed for children 2 years of age and younger.

Preschool Storytime: Designed for children ages 3 & up.

Siblings are always welcome at early childhood programs. Find the Storytime you'd like to attend via the Programs & Events page. No registration required.

50 Books to Read Before Kindergarten

More Books

The 50 Books before Kindergarten Program is designed to help inspire excitement for learning and build school readiness skills. Participation is open to any child entering kindergarten. Families with younger children are also welcome to follow along and start building skills for life-long learning early! Information about the 2022 program is coming soon.

Story Book Trail

Enjoy reading and the outdoors at the same time! The Storybook Trail features a children’s book with individual pages on signs along with questions to promote learning. Stories rotate monthly and are accessible even when the library is closed, so visit often!

LaGrange – located along the walking path beside the front entrance
