The Oldham County Library is thrilled to announce the long-anticipated renovation of its South Oldham Branch. Dedicated patrons can look forward to the same great small-town services in an updated space.

South Oldham Library will close for renovations beginning October 1, 2023. While the complete timeline of the project is variable, we anticipate reopening in December 2023.
Although patrons won't be able to access the South Oldham Library space itself, they will still be able to enjoy many library services locally thanks to a partnership with The Maples Park. Our first ever "Pop-Up" series will begin October 3!

Can I still return materials at South Oldham Library during the renovation?
Yes! There will be a designated drop-box in our parking lot where books, DVDs, video games, and Playaways may be returned. If you need to return a large object such as a STEAM crate, laptop, or video game console, please visit another library location or our Library Pop-up at The Maples Park.
Can I still place holds during the renovation?
Yes! When you place a hold via our online catalog, you can choose your desired pick-up location. Patrons are welcome to choose Goshen Library, LaGrange Library, or "South". Holds placed for "South" will automatically be sent to our Maples Pop-up. You will be notified of your hold's arrival as normal. Patrons who choose to pick up their holds at our Maples Pop-up will have a 7-day window to pick up their items.
What services are at the Library Pop-up at The Maples Park?
Services at our Library Pop-up are limited to returning materials, checking out holds, placing holds, notary (please phone ahead to confirm availability), paying fines or fees with cash or check (no credit cards), and issuing new library cards. For any questions or to inquire about notary availability, please call our LaGrange Library at 502-222-9713.
Is South Oldham Library expanding?
This renovation is focused on the library's interior, and no expansion to the building will be made at this time.
