Elementary Age Programs

The Children's Library offers a variety of programs for elementary aged children. Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, all programs are offered virtually through a secure platform. To sign up for any of the upcoming sessions of these programs, visit the Programs & Events page.

That Art Thing

This program is designed for elementary age (K-5) children to discover their inner artist and unleash their creativity. We will explore various art techniques, learn about artists both past and present and, in each session, create an original work of art.

Science Saturday

Are you curious about science, love doing experiments, and like to learn how things work? Grown ups and kids can enjoy science experiments together - join us for our new online program, Science Saturday! Supplies are provided by the library; select which branch you would like to pick your supplies up from when you sign up. Parental supervision is required for this program.

Virtual SPROUTS Club

This club, for children in grades K-5th, helps grow a love of gardening! Learn about plants, science, and nature while working on take home activities. Supplies are provided by the library, available for pick up at the branch of your choosing when you register online.

STEAM Club At Home

Each STEAM Club features a different Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, or Mathematics activity. This program is intended for grades K-5. You can pick up supplies at the branch of your choice the week prior to the program. Sign up to receive information about how to join our secure meeting. Can't make the designated time, don't worry.
