Welcome to the 2024 OCPL Summer Reading Program. This celebration is designed to encourage children's love of reading, continue to build school readiness and help stop the summer slide for school-age kids.

The Children's Summer Reading Program is for newborns up to kids entering the 5th grade. There are different reading logs to track participation based on age. Select and complete the reading log that fits your child (for the elementary-age programs, grade refers to what your child will be entering in the fall).

Activity Booklets & Reading Logs

The Summer Reading Booklet is for all ages and can be picked up at your local library! Some readers may have already received reading logs through their school. If you would like a complete calendar of our events and programs for the Summer, please visit your local library to pick up a Summer Reading Booklet or visit our calendar.

Prizes

Check-in at your local library as you complete your reading logs to pick up prizes! Readers age 3+ can check in after every 5 days of completed reading to pick up their bracelet and charms, or wait till you have all 25 days filled in and pick up your prizes all at once.

Once your child has completed their Summer Reading, make sure to fill out the form at the link below to be entered for a prize raffle.

Participants who complete 25 days also earn a pool party pass hosted at the Aquatic Center!

Children ages 0–2, can check in at your local library when you have completed the full log to claim your prize.
