Welcome! The Summer Reading Program is a way to celebrate and encourage children's love of reading, help build school readiness, and stop the summer slide for school-age kids.
The Children's Summer Reading Program is for newborns up to kids entering the 5th grade. There are different reading logs to track participation based on age. Select and complete the reading log that fits your child (for the elementary age programs, grade refers to what your child will be entering in the fall).
Our Summer Reading Booklet for all ages can be picked up at your local library! Some readers may have already received reading logs through their school. If you would like a complete calendar of events, please visit your local library to pick up a Summer Reading Booklet or visit our calendar. You can also print the individual reading logs below.
Check in at your local library as you complete your reading logs to pick up prizes! Readers age 3+ can check-in after each 5 days of completed reading to pick up brag tags and reading beads, or wait till you have all 25 days filled in and pick up your prizes all at once.

Participants who complete 25 days earn a ticket to a Pool Party at Calypso Cove Family Waterpark and a ticket to the Kentucky Science Center!
Little Bees (Ages 0–2), can check-in at your local library when you have completed the full log to claim your prize.
