Storybook Trail at Night!

Nov 08, 2021

The seasons are changing and it's getting dark sooner, but there's still a way to enjoy the Storybook Trails with your family! Starting on November 8th, you can stop in at Goshen or LaGrange Libraries on Mondays-Thursdays from 5-6:30pm to check out a flashlight and pick up a free glow bracelet for the kids (intended for ages 3 and up). Use the flashlight and glow bracelets to help you explore the Storybook Trail with your family for an evening story time.

The Storybook Trail at Night will feature “Bats at the Library” by Brian Lies in Goshen and “A Big Mooncake for Little Star” by Grace Lin in LaGrange. The Storybook Trail is designed to engage young readers with books in a new way, while incorporating exercise and movement. Individual pages of the story are placed on signs along the trail, along with questions designed to encourage learning. The LaGrange Trail starts beside the Library entrance and continues on a paved path through trees and in front of a water feature. It is stroller friendly. The Goshen Trail begins beside the Library, winds along a creek, and up a hill. It is partially paved, and for the more adventurous walkers.
